Popular Indian YouTuber, Sushant Mehta, recently extended a heartfelt apology to a distressed fan of Pakistan's cricket captain, Babar Azam.
The incident occurred during Sushant's space on X (formerly Twitter), where a fan named Syeda raised concerns regarding the consistent criticism directed towards Babar Azam and the Pakistan cricket team.
Syeda expressed her feelings, noting that the constant critique of Babar Azam and the team was disheartening for her. She went on to highlight that India has witnessed legendary cricketers in the past and currently boasts talents like Virat Kohli and Rohit Sharma. In contrast, Pakistan, in her view, seems to solely rely on Babar Azam.
Sushant Mehta, quick to acknowledge his misstep, promptly issued an apology to Syeda. In his apology, he stressed his support for Babar Azam.
Furthermore, he shared his desire to see Pakistan finish among the top four teams in the upcoming ICC Men's ODI World Cup 2023.
It must be noted that Babar Azam has been under criticism for not stepping up in the initial games of the World Cup.
However, the 29-year-old scored an impressive 74 off 92, leading Pakistan to a competitive total of 282/7 in Chennai.
The Men in Green have played four games, winning two and losing two. They are placed at the fifth spot in the table.
