England are scheduled to host Pakistan for a four-match T20I series at home from May 22-30 next year to prepare for the T20 World Cup, scheduled in June.

The Indian Premier League (IPL) 2024 will also take place during the same time period and ECB have notified franchises about the availability of players in the auction for next season.

As per ESPNCricinfo, the ECB has told the IPL that its players will be available for the whole season "subject to fitness and international duty and any periods of unavailability that players submitted on their auction applications."

On the other hand, the ECB also pointed out that if any players require specific management in the build-up to the T20 World Cup, their managing director Rob Key will liaise directly" with both the player and his franchise.

IPL 2024 is likely to be played between March 22 and the end of May, with the final schedule to be announced once the polling dates for India's general elections have been finalised by the Election Commission.

Remember, Pakistan will play two T20I before travelling to Ireland. They were also scheduled to travel the Netherlands, however, the Netherlands Cricket Board (KNCB) received a request from the PCB to delay the series, aiming to ease the strain on an increasingly packed cricket calendar. Both boards are now exploring alternatives to rearrange the series.

Initially, Pakistan had expressed their desire to visit the Netherlands again after their CWC Super League series in Rotterdam in 2022.

A three-match T20I series was outlined for early May, preceding Pakistan's scheduled tour to Ireland and England. However, Pakistan's home series against New Zealand in April left a tight window for the Dutch leg of their European tour.
