Manchester United head coach Erik Ten Hag provided injury update on key players as The Red Devils prepare to take on West Ham United at London Stadium on Saturday.

Ten Hag’s men travel to London to play a crucial league game as a win against David Moyes’ troops could take them to sixth position should Newcastle United lose to Luton Town on the same day.

Not many things have gone Man United’s way this season. They were knocked out of the UEFA Champions League (UCL) this season after finishing bottom of the group and their chances of winning the Premier League this season also remain thin.

Not just all of that, they have had their fair share of injuries as key players like Casemiro, Lisandro Martinez, and new signing Mason Mount have all missed a considerable amount of matches.

The Dutchman held a presser before Saturday’s encounter on Friday where he confirmed that Martinez and Casemiro are likely to return in January.

"Now we have some doubts, some illnesses during the week," Ten Hag revealed on Friday, ahead of the game. "We have to see who is available for tomorrow, hopefully they are recovered, we have to see."

11 players are either ruled out of Saturday's clash or are doubts, Ten Hag was asked about the availability of some first-team players.

"They [Casemiro and Martinez] are not available before Christmas, mid-January we expect them back,” said the Dutchman.

"Mason Mount similar into January. Harry Maguire I expect him early on," he added.

The United boss also stated that Victor Lindelof had undergone surgery recently and will miss the Christmas period.

"Victor Lindelof is not available, he has had surgery, he will be out for a couple of weeks. He had a problem, personal, he has to do the surgery,” he added.

It must be noted that Man United’s last win at the London Stadium came in September 2021 when goals from Cristiano Ronaldo and Jesse Lingard cruised the Red Devils to win. Ten Hag’s last meeting with the former United boss at London Stadium ended in a 1-0 defeat.
