Bayern Munich forward Leroy Sane’s contract with the club expires in 2025 and the club is eager to extend the current deal as the German is one of the most important players for head coach Thomas Tuchel.

With nine goals and as many assists in 24 matches across competitions this season, Sane emerged as one of the best players of the time alongside star striker Harry Kane, who has taken German football by storm ever since completing his move to Munich.

Tuchel values the player very highly and knows the importance of the 27-year-old as he is one of the few players in the world who can play with both feet, which helps Sane to excel at either right or left wing without many problems.

Sane is open to extending his current deal with the Bavarian club but would only open the negotiations once Euro 2024, which is scheduled to take place in Germany in the summer, is over.

According to reports from Germany, Bayern’s sporting director Christoph Freund met with Sane at the end of 2023 where the 27-year-old confirmed that he would renew his deal but doesn’t want to think about it before the European championship.

The player is entirely focused on the current season and aims to win the Bundesliga and UEFA Champions League (UCL) with the club and then will shift his focus to Euro 2024 to win the championship in front of his home crowd.

It must be noted that Sane joined Bayern Munich in 2020 and has played 157 matches till now where he netted 47 goals and provided 46 assists. He has seven trophies — Three Bundesliga, two German Super Cups, one UEFA Super Cup and one FIFA Club World Cup — with the German club till now.
