Pacer Naseem Shah, who is representing Islamabad United in Pakistan Super League (PSL) season nine, had an injury scare in the ongoing Eliminator 2 at Karachi's National Stadium against Peshawar Zalmi.

The 21-year-old bagged figures of 3/30 in an all-important match but concerns were raised when he was taken out of the field in the 17th over.

Naseem was fielding at point when he ran back to settle for a catch but the ball kept swirling away from his reach. The pacer landed hard on the ground and looked in tremendous pain.

It was not obvious which part of the muscle was affected but he returned back to the field and bowled his remaining over.

After the innings ended, he was seen limping while Zalmi's Aamer Jamal checked on him.

It must be noted that Zalmi posted 185/5 in 20 overs after United skipper Shadab Khan opted to field first.

Saim Ayub was the star for Zalmi, scoring 44-ball 73 while Mohammad Haris scored 25-ball 40. Tom Kohler-Cadmore and Aamer Jamal played a cameo scoring 18 and 17 respectively.
