Juventus find themselves in unfamiliar territory, slipping to sixth in Serie A after a string of four consecutive draws.

As they prepare to face 19th-placed Monza on Sunday, coach Thiago Motta is determined to reignite the winning spark, but a mounting injury crisis looms over the team's ambitions.

Defender Andrea Cambiaso, sidelined with an ankle injury earlier this month, is being monitored for a potential return.

However, midfielder Douglas Luiz, who has struggled with recurring injuries since October, remains doubtful.

"Today we'll assess Cambiaso's condition. On the other hand I might bring Douglas Luiz, but since I want everyone to be 100% I prefer to postpone his return to the squad," Motta said during a press conference on Saturday.

Juventus’ injury list is extensive, with key players Gleison Bremer, Juan Cabal, Arkadiusz Milik, Jonas Rouhi, and Timothy Weah all unavailable. Despite these challenges, Motta remains focused on the task at hand.

"I hope to always see something good, both in the path of growth and in everything we do. Tomorrow against Monza we face a good team, with a good coach, and as always we must try to play a great game," Motta said.

Monza, languishing near the bottom of the table, have not tasted victory in their last eight league matches.

However, their recent performances show resilience, holding Torino to a draw in November and narrowly losing to Udinese earlier this month.

"If we encounter a compact Monza team, we must be able to attack effectively," he concluded.
