LAHORE: Zimbabwe’s star all-rounder Sikandar Raza, who previously represented Lahore Qalandars, has officially signed up for the Pakistan Super League (PSL) Season 10 player draft.

Raza, who is a key part of Zimbabwe’s white-ball sides, has featured in three editions of the marquee league with two-time champions Qalandars and a one-year stint with Karachi Kings.

The all-rounder played a pivotal role in leading the Qalandars to the title victory in the 2023 edition as he scored 223 runs in 11 innings at a decent average of 37.16 and a strike-rate of 179.83 with the help of one half-century.

He was equally handy with the ball, taking four wickets in nine innings with the best bowling figures of 2/6.

Overall, Sikandar Raza has played 23 matches amid his budding PSL career and scored 329 runs, coupled with 10 wickets.

For the unversed, Raza is the fifth foreign player to have signed up for the upcoming 10th edition of the marquee league, joining England’s David Willey and Jason Roy, Australia’s Usman Khawaja and Bangladesh’s Mustafizur Rehman.

It is pertinent to mention that the highly-anticipated player draft will be held in Balochistan for the first time, with Gwadar hosting the key event on January 11, 2025.

The pick order for the player draft has also been announced, with two-time champions Lahore Qalandars making the first pick in the opening round of the platinum category, followed by arch-rivals Karachi Kings.

2019 champions Quetta Gladiators will make the third pick, while Peshawar Zalmi will have the fourth.

Last season’s runners-up, Sultans, and reigning champions United will make the fifth and sixth picks, respectively.
