BENGALURU: An ardent Indian cricket fan, Pranav from Bengaluru, made his way to the M Chinnaswamy Stadium with an enthusiastic spirit to meet Pakistan cricketers who were taking part in the optional training session.
Pranav reached the stadium to secure autographs from two Pakistani cricketers, Mohammad Nawaz and Babar Azam, on his cherished cricket shirts
Furthermore, Pranav had a sentimental request – he aspired to obtain Babar Azam's autograph on the ticket from his debut match.
Both the players — Nawaz and Babar — fulfilled Pranav's wish.
This display of support for the Pakistani cricketers was not the first of its kind for Pranav, as he fondly reminisced about a previous encounter with Pakistani players during a meeting in the UAE in 2016.
"It's always great to meet Pakistani players," he said.
It must be noted that the Pakistan men's team took part in optional training at the M Chinnaswamy Stadium to prepare for the match against Australia on October 20.
As per the details, six players are not part of the optional training. Four players from the main squad — Abdullah Shafique, Mohammad Rizwan, Shaheen Afridi, Salman Ali Agha and two travelling reserves — Zaman Khan and Mohammad Haris.
The Green Shirts changed their plans in regards to training. Earlier, they had decided not to train today. They trained for two hours from 6pm to 8pm (Indian Standard Time).
It must be noted that Abdullah Shafique has been suffering from a fever. Pacer Shaheen Afridi and Usama Mir had also experienced fever symptoms, but they have since recovered.
