Cricket Australia is getting ready to add energy to the upcoming Boxing Day Test by revealing a spectacular Pakistan Fan Zone outside Gate 4 of the iconic Melbourne Cricket Ground (MCG).
This three-day event is designed to enhance the spectator experience, offering a harmonious mix of cricket, culture, and entertainment.
Notably, traditional Char Pai's (woven beds) will be set up for fans to relax and enjoy the game in a traditional setting outside the MCG. A fan-walk on the first day of the Test is also planned, giving passionate Pakistan supporters a chance to display their unwavering dedication to the visiting team.
A special tape ball cricket match is scheduled, adding a touch of traditional street cricket to the festive atmosphere. To cater to various culinary tastes, the fan zone will include a Halal Desi food truck, providing a delightful variety of flavours for attendees.
Throughout the three-day event, attendees can engage in participation zones designed to elevate their overall match-day experience. The entertainment lineup culminates in a live performance by the talented Faisal Amlani on the morning of Day 1, just before the first ball is bowled.
Meanwhile, for those seeking a more relaxed viewing experience, 'The Outfield' offers a designated area equipped with deck chairs, bean bags, and picnic rugs. This space caters to fans wanting relief from the sun or those who prefer to stay close to the action outside the stadium.
Remember, there is also an open day for fans to watch the Pakistan squad train. Fans can see their favourite stars in action on December 21 (Thursday).
It must be noted that Pakistan has successfully negotiated an additional warm-up match. The team is set to engage in a two-day practice game against a Victoria side on the 22nd and 23rd of December.
The second Test is slated to occur at the iconic Melbourne Cricket Ground (MCG) from December 26th to the 30th.
