Manchester United held a 2-2 draw against Tottenham Hotspur on Sunday at Old Trafford as goals from Rasmus Hojlund and Marcus Rashford helped the Red Devils escape a defeat in the Premier League.
Hojlund gave the home side a bright start by finding the back of the net in the third minute but Richarlison’s 19th-minute strike equalled the score soon.
Rashford once again put the Red Devils ahead after scoring in the 40th minute and celebrated with a knee-slide while giving a talking gesture with his hand, potentially hitting out at critics.
However, Rodrigo Bentancur scored one more just after the start of the second half to level the game.
Man United legend, Roy Keane, did not approve of Rashford’s celebration saying he needs to put his entire focus on football.
"We have seen it before that he's got the quality. Why he seems to be upset with everybody, he's got to go out and enjoy his football,” Keane said on Star Sports.
In 26 matches this season, Rashford has only managed to score four times and provided six assists and has been one of the club’s biggest under-performers.
Keane stated the same saying while the goal was good, it was not good enough as he needed to be doing more.
"That's not good enough [one home goal since May]. With his talent and what he can do, he can twist people up. That's what he should be doing. Don't complain,” he said.
The former midfielder praised the forward’s overall game against Spurs and said when he is at his full powers, he is very hard to stop.
"There was something different about him (vs Spurs). He was simplifying (his game) and he has been told by the manager and their coaching staff, 'When we are in possession and there's space, you have got to run in this game'.
"We saw that with Newcastle and the Man City players. You've got to go stretch teams and when Marcus is doing that, he's very hard to stop.”
