The Pakistan team is all set to depart London in two groups today for Dallas, United States, ahead of the T20 World Cup 2024.
One group of the team will consist of 19 members, including players and management, while the other group would have nine members.
During their tour, Pakistan played T20I series against Ireland and England.
Ireland stunned Pakistan by five wickets in the first T20I of the three-match series, while Pakistan won the other two matches, second match by 7 wickets, and the final match by 6 wickets.
Despite a brilliant start, while defending the 183-run target, as Pakistan managed to get two wickets in the first five overs with Naseem Shah and Shaheen Afridi striking for them, the Green Shirts couldn’t stand against Andrew Balbirnie and Harry Tector in the first match of the series.
However, Pakistan made an excellent comeback in the second T20I as they chased down the 194-run target within 17 overs.
Moreover, in the final match of the series, Pakistan defeated Ireland by scoring 181 for 4 (Babar 75, Rizwan 56, Mark Adair 3-28), while Ireland scored 178 for 7 only.
On the other hand, during Pakistan’s four-match series with England, two matches were cancelled due to rain.
In the second match of the series held on Saturday, May 25, England defeated Pakistan by 23 runs. Similarly, in the final match on Thursday, England held the advantage once again and won by 7 wickets.
The Pakistan team will be playing their first match of the T20 World Cup against the USA on, Thursday, June 6 in Dallas, USA.
