The two sides will take on each other in Bengaluru on October 20

BENGALURU: The Pakistan cricket team is currently training at the M Chinnaswamy Stadium to prepare for the match against Australia on October 20.

As per the details, all the players are participating in the training session except Mohammad Haris, who is with the squad as a travelling reserve, as the wicketkeeper batter continues to recover from fever.

Six Pakistani players — Abdullah Shafique, Mohammad Rizwan, Shaheen Afridi, Salman Ali Agha, Zaman Khan and Haris — missed Tuesday’s training, but after a close examination of the players by the medical officer of the Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB) Doctor Saleem, five of them were declared fit to participate in training.

All those players showed their fitness by sprinting while Shaheen Afridi and Zaman managed to bowl with complete run-ups.

Earlier on Tuesday, it was reported that six players were absent from the optional training session ahead of Pakistan’s encounter against Australia.

Abdullah, Afridi and Usama Mir had experienced fever symptoms on Tuesday but all of them have recovered.

Pakistan have registered two wins in three matches during the event, so far, but their only defeat came against arch-rivals India on October 14.
