Pakistan all-rounder Imad Wasim opened up about his relationship with national team’s skipper Babar Azam on Wednesday.
While speaking on Haarna Mana Hay, Imad admitted that he and Babar have a complicated relationship but brushed aside the notion that they are enemies.
“The answer to this question is complicated but there is no truth in the fact that we are enemies,” said Imad when asked why he is no longer close to Babar.
Imad, who made his ODI and T20I debut in 2015, last played an international match for Pakistan during a T20 against New Zealand in Rawalpindi earlier this year. However, his last appearance in ODI cricket came in 2020.
It must be noted that differences between Imad and Babar reportedly emerged while they duo were playing for the Karachi Kings in the Pakistan Super League (PSL).
Earlier, Imad revised his prediction about semi-finalists of the ongoing ICC World Cup 2023 on Sunday after Afghanistan stunned defending champions England.
While speaking to Geo News, Imad also predicted the semi-finalists of the ongoing ICC World Cup 2023 after taking into account the performances of teams during the mega event.
“South Africa, New Zealand, India, and one team from Australia, Pakistan and England will qualify for the semis,” Imad said.
Before the start of the tournament, Imad had named Pakistan, India, England and South Africa as the semi-finalists.
