Pakistan's middle-order batter, Babar Azam, took time out for fans after the cancellation of the Green Shirts' training session at the Manuka Oval in Canberra due to a hailstorm on Sunday.
Azam, 29, was observed signing autographs on bats, balls, and shirts for the fans. Despite the rainy weather, he also posed for pictures with some of them.
The 29-year-old's heartwarming gesture was welcoming for the Pakistani cricket enthusiasts, who are eagerly anticipating the Men in Green's action starting on December 6, when they will face the Australian Prime Minister XI.
It must be noted that the Pakistani team led by newly-appointed skipper Shan Masood held its first practice session in Canberra but they couldn’t complete it due to a hailstorm.
The training session was cancelled by the team’s management after which the players trained in an indoor session.
According to BBC , light rain showers are expected in Canberra tonight and from Thursday (December 7), light to moderate rain is expected in the city until Sunday (December 10).
There is a chance that the first-class match between the Green Shirts and PM XI will be interrupted by rain.
