Former Australian pacer Brett Lee has predicted his top four teams of the Indian Premier League (IPL) 2024.
The lucrative T20 tournament is underway across different cities where the 10 teams are participating. 14 games have been completed so far with the 15th currently underway at the M. Chinnaswamy Stadium between Royal Challengers Bengaluru and Lucknow Super Giants (LSG).
In a video posted by ex-South African captain Ab de Villiers, Lee didn't name his two former teams, Kolkata Knight Riders and Punjab Kings.
"RCB to win it," said Lee while naming Delhi Capitals, Chennai Super Kings and Sunrisers Hyderabad (SRH) as his final four teams.
Earlier, former Indian spinner Harbhajan Singh asked RCB) to change their team approach as their bowling department remains the weakest spot.
With two losses and only one win, Faf du Plessis’ side kicked off their campaign with yet another underwhelming start as the Bengaluru-based franchise continued to struggle with their mediocre bowling line, which doesn’t have a quality spinner.
Harbhajan shared his two cents on RCB’s approach for this year saying that the team’s combination is not right as they rely on their overseas batters while the bowling remains a question mark.
"They repeatedly make mistakes in the team they pick. They invest heavily in batting and that too foreign. They take mighty overseas batters but bowling has always been their weakness. It's the case now also and it's evident as well," Harbhajan said on Star Sports.
"Whether you bat first or second, you will still have to bat well to get 180, and 180 should be a winning total. Your mindset is that 180 will be chased. How will they be chased? The opposing team will have to score them," Harbhajan added.
It must be noted that RCB has never won the IPL title. They have ended up as runners-up thrice in 16 editions.
