India's veteran batter Virat Kohli has been completely out of form in this T20 World Cup, scoring 75 runs in seven innings.

Kohli, 35, scored only nine runs in the semi-final against England and was bowled by Reece Topley. That was the fifth time in the T20 World Cup that he failed to score double digits.

Kohli, who was the top-scorer of the 2016 and 2022 T20 World Cups, has become the top of discussion as his form is a concern for India as well. With just one match standing in India and their first ICC trophy since 2013, much is expected from the 35-year-old to deliver in the final.

Former England spinner Monty Panesar has predicted that Kohli would score a century in the final on Saturday against South Africa in Barbados.

“India will win the T20 World Cup final, and Virat Kohli will score 100,” said Panesar as quoted by The Times of India.

Remember, Indian captain Rohit Sharma is also not concerned about the form of their star batter.

“He (Kohli) is a quality player. Any player can go through that. We do understand his class, and we do understand his importance in all these big games. Form is never a problem. When you've played cricket for 15 years, form is never a problem. He's looking good, the intent is there, and he's probably saving for the final. Absolutely (backing Kohli for the final),” Rohit said after the semifinal victory.

Remember, South Africa made it to their first-ever T20 World Cup final by beating Afghanistan in a one-sided contest in Trinidad and Tobago.

Meanwhile, in the second semi-final, Rohit Sharma and Co took their revenge for T20 World Cup 2022 and beat England by 68 runs in Guyana.
