LAHORE: Pakistan’s cricket team opener, Imam-ul-Haq, is set to get married to a Norwegian girl on November 25 after the ICC World Cup 2023.

The wedding festivities will start from November 23 in Lahore, sources reported on Sunday.

The Qawwali night will also take place on November 23, although the name of the performing group has not been revealed yet.

The 27-year-old’s Nikkah ceremony is decided to be on November 25 while the date of the Valima reception is scheduled on November 26.

Sources further added that Imam will wear a Prince coat at his wedding.

If Pakistan reach the final of the World Cup, then they will have to play it on November 19 in Ahmedabad, that is why it was decided to hold the wedding events after the mega event ends.

Players from the national team like Babar Azam, Mohammad Rizwan, Fakhar Zaman, Shadab Khan and others will be invited to the wedding as well as some ex-players and management personnel.

Imam is currently a part of the World Cup 2023 squad that is representing Pakistan in India.

It is worth mentioning that Pakistan is currently having a tough time in the World Cup after suffering back-to-back defeats against arch-rivals India and Australia in Ahmedabad and Bengaluru.

The Green Shirts also have two victories to their name but they came against relatively weak sides of the Netherlands and Sri Lanka, with the latter missing a few key players.

And now, the match against Afghanistan is a must-win for the Men in Green because any outcome other than a victory would make things difficult for Babar Azam-led Pakistan in the World Cup.
