Chelsea manager Mauricio Pochettino has insisted the club's board retains trust in him despite poor performance on the field.

Chelsea have won just five Premier League games this season, drawing four and losing seven and are currently placed at the 12th position on the table.

However, Pochettino believes that there is no danger to his future at the club.

Speaking ahead of his side's match with Sheffield United on Saturday, Pochettino said: "I am a person who trusts until the end, until someone says something else to me. Like what happened in Tottenham. I was trusting my chairman until the end.

"I am a person that always trusts and trusts until someone shows me I cannot trust any more. But I trust, I trust. Of course, I know that I need to deliver. I know football, how football is.

"My decision to sign here was because I trust when they offered me the job. I am going to keep trusting because the club is showing me that they trust in my job.

"We have good people building the house, good architects. We have the best company, architects, very creative and good - already proven."

Pochettino is under pressure to change the club’s fortunes especially considering that Chelsea co-owner, Todd Boehly, has invested a significant amount in the club in his two years which includes £435 million worth of recruits.

Anything other than a win against Sheffield United, who are at the bottom of the Premier League table with a mere eight points, could signal the beginning of the end of Pochettino's tenure at Stamford Bridge.
