WTA star Caroline Garcia expressed her wish to have coffee with one of the greatest tennis players of all time, Roger Federer.

The Frenchwoman was charmed after viewing the Swiss' interview from the previous year, in which he appeared as a guest on The Daily Show, hosted by South African comedian Trevor Noah.

During the interview, Federer discussed various aspects of his tennis career and recounted an uncomfortable encounter where he was ignored by a security guard while attempting to enter the gates of Wimbledon, despite holding a lifetime membership at the All England Club.

"How did I miss @rogerfederer interview with @Trevornoah from last year! Roger is such an inspiration One of dream is propoably to get a coffee with him and talk about life, tennis, inspiration, way through life, way, getting a member card to Wimbledon.… anything really,” Garcia posted on X, formerly Twitter.

Federer, called time on his illustrious career in September 2022 following a constant battle with his knee.

The Swiss, who won 103 ATP titles, teamed up with his biggest rival Rafael Nadal — whom he faced 40 times during his 24-year-long career — in his last professional match in the Laver Cup 2022.

Federer and Nadal, who have often been named “Fedal” by fans, took on Jack Sock and Frances Tiafoe who beat them in three sets.

But everyone was in tears when Federer walked off the court after the match.

It must be noted that Federer underwent his third knee surgery in August 2021 and was hoping to make one last appearance on the court in 2022 but his knee wasn’t making progress as expected and just after the 2022 US Open — in which he didn’t play — the Swiss announced he will be saying goodbye to tennis after the Laver Cup 2022.

He also did not play in a singles tournament after Wimbledon 2021 — where he lost in the quarter-final — and was dropped out of the top 50 in June 2022. One month later in July, he became unranked for the first time since his professional debut.
