Lahore Qalandars' emerging star Jahandad Khan stunned everyone with his power-hitting in the fourth game of the Pakistan Super League (PSL) season nine on Monday.
In his first PSL innings, the left-hander stroked a flawless 45* off 17 balls with the help of three fours and four sixes. He batted with a strike-rate of 264.70.
He also equalled the record of hitting the most sixes by a Pakistan in his PSL debut. Three batters — Mohammad Haris, Saud Shakeel, and Jahandad — each managed to smash four sixes in their respective innings.
Jahandad made his debut for the Rawalpindi region in domestic cricket across formats in the 2023/24 season where he has impressed many with his all-round skills.
He was identified because of his hitting skills in the National T20 Cup where he boasts the best strike rate of 188.57 [minimum 29 balls].
In terms of batting and fielding, his first-class (FC) record includes five matches with a total of 10 innings, accumulating 157 runs at an average of 15.70. His highest score is 67, and he has managed to hit 10 boundaries and 11 sixes.
In List A cricket, Jahandad has participated in seven matches, featuring four innings where he scored 53 runs at an average of 17.66. His strike rate (SR) in List A matches is 103.92, and he has contributed with four boundaries and two sixes.
