Bukayo Saka has withdrawn from England's squad for their upcoming international friendlies against Brazil and Belgium

The Arsenal star will return to north London with the news coming just ten days before the Gunners take on Manchester City in the Premier League.

It's understood that Saka didn't take part in Three Lions training on Wednesday and instead underwent an individual session.

However, the decision has now been made for the winger to withdraw from Gareth Southgate's squad and return to Arsenal with what appears to be a minor injury.

A statement from the FA read: "Bukayo Saka has left the England camp and returned to his club for continued rehabilitation.

"The Arsenal forward reported to St. George's Park with an injury and has been unable to participate in training.

"No further replacements are planned as a 25-man England squad continue their preparation for the forthcoming internationals with Brazil and Belgium."

England are gearing up for a busy week as they prepare for this summer's European Championship, with challenging warm-up matches against Brazil and Belgium scheduled for Saturday and Tuesday respectively.

Saka has been in outstanding form for Arsenal this season, making 37 appearances for the Gunners.

During this period, he has scored 16 goals and provided 13 assists, establishing himself as one of the standout stars in the Premier League.

Mikel Arteta will be hoping that Saka's withdrawal is not too serious, as Arsenal continue to compete for honours in the league and the Champions League.

The team from north London currently leads the Premier League, ahead of Liverpool on goal difference and Manchester City by one point.

Meanwhile, in the Champions League, Arsenal are preparing to face Harry Kane and Bayern Munich in the quarter-finals.

After the conclusion of the club season, Saka faces a significant summer ahead, with England aiming for success at Euro 2024.

The Three Lions will need to overcome Serbia, Denmark, and Slovenia in the group stage in order to progress to the knockout rounds of the tournament.
