England captain Jos Buttler is set to miss the third T20I against Pakistan which is set to be played in Cardiff due to the birth of his third child.
Buttler left the English squad after the second T20I where he scored 84 runs and guided his team to a comfortable victory as Pakistan were all-out for 160 runs while chasing the 184-run target.
Buttler and his wife, Louise, are expecting their third child and the 33-year-old missed Monday's training session in Cardiff which indicated that he would not be present to play the third T20I.
Under Buttler's absence, Moeen Ali is likely to lead the team as he is the vice-captain of the team. Whether Buttler will return for the fourth and final T20I is yet to be known.
Moeen was asked last week if a change in captaincy would effect the team greatly to which he replied that will not be the case as he will just start from where Buttler leaves.
"Obviously if it happens, then it's a great honour - as it always is," Moeen said. "I'll be fine. Nothing will change too much: it's just taking over from what he's doing and then when he comes back, he takes over.
"Hopefully, the baby comes at the right time where he doesn't miss too many games. For me, it's just whatever will happen, will happen. [Deputising] is not really difficult, to be honest with you, because we speak often, me and Jos. We talk about other things, the team, and all that. We're on the same page anyway."
The third T20I between Pakistan and England will begin at 10:30pm PST (which is 5:30pm GMT).
However, there is a high chance of rain on tomorrow in Cardiff which could affect the match. According to The Weather Channel, there is a 92 percent chance of downpour on Tuesday.
England lead the series 1-0 after triumphing in the second T20I on Saturday by 23 runs.
The first match in Leeds was washed out on Wednesday without a ball being bowled. The final match of the series will be held at The Oval on Thursday.
