BENGALURU: Pakistan opener Abdullah Shafique is avoiding unnecessary meetings after he was diagnosed with a fever.
As per details, the cricketer is currently grappling with both fever and flu symptoms, necessitating precautionary measures to curtail any potential spread of the illness.
Abdullah Shafique didn't participate in today's practice session with the Pakistan team, who trained at the M Chinnaswamy Stadium to prepare for the match against Australia on October 20.
Apart from Abdullah, Mohammad Rizwan, Shaheen Afridi, Salman Ali Agha, Zaman Khan and Mohammad Haris also didn't train.
Earlier, pacer Shaheen Afridi and Usama Mir had also experienced fever symptoms, but they have since recovered.
PCB also issued a statement where they said: "Some players got fever in the past few days and most of them have fully recovered from it. Those who are in the stage of recovery remain under the team medical panel's observation."
Remember, the Pakistan men's team changed their plans in regards to training. Earlier, they had decided not to train today but They trained for two hours from 6 PM to 8 PM (Indian Standard Time)
Pakistan have registered two wins in three matches during the event, so far, but their only defeat came against arch-rivals India on Saturday.

October 31 - vs Bangladesh in Kolkata

The day matches will start at 10:00am Pakistan Standard Time (PST) while all other matches will be day-night fixtures starting at 01:30pm (PST).
If Pakistan qualify for the semi-finals, they will play in Kolkata.
If India qualify for the semi-finals, they will play in Mumbai unless playing against Pakistan, in which case they will play in Kolkata.
