Leg-spinner Usama Mir is confident that Pakistan will win their crucial match against England in the upcoming ICC World Cup 2023.

The 27-year-old believes that he will be in a strong rhythm in the match against England.

Usama Mir, in an interview with a local news channel, revealed that the team as a whole gained a great deal of confidence following their victory over New Zealand.

"If given a chance, we would give our best performance in the match against England and try to qualify for the semifinal in the ICC World Cup 2023," Usama said.

In response to a query about his bowling, Usama stated that the pitch's condition forced him to lower his bowling speed, but he will now bowl at the same speed as before.

The leg-spinner stated that Pakistan is gearing up to defeat England with a significant margin rather than depending on the match between New Zealand and Sri Lanka.

“I have got a very different experience here in India, in some places, spinners are getting support, but in other places, the pitch is completely different,” he added.

It must be noted that Pakistan will play their last league game on November 11 against England at Eden Gardens.

Meanwhile, New Zealand is currently playing Sri Lanka. As things stand, the Black Caps seem to be in a dominating position to qualify and they are closely followed by Pakistan while Afghanistan's position is the weakest courtesy of their negative net run rate (NRR).

A win tonight would all but confirm Kane Williamson's men's place in the knockout stage.

Usama Mir performance is hopeless equal to zero throughout. Do not depend on him.
