AS Roma will face Feyenoord in the Europa League knockout round playoffs, competing for a spot in the last 16 of the competition.
Roma secured victory against Feyenoord in the 2021-22 Europa Conference League final and clashed in the previous season's Europa League quarter-finals, with Roma emerging triumphant once more, winning 4-2 on aggregate.
Under the management of Jose Mourinho, Roma made it to the final of the previous season's competition but lost to Sevilla in a penalty shootout. Feyenoord clinched the Europa League trophy in 2002, triumphing over Borussia Dortmund in the final, and also claimed victory in 1974.
In another notable fixture, AC Milan will take on France's Stade Rennes. Milan, seven-time Champions League winners, have yet to secure a Europa League title. Although they defeated Newcastle United in their final Champions League group game this season, they finished third behind Borussia Dortmund and Paris St Germain.
Eight Europa League group runners-up will contend against eight third-placed teams from the Champions League group stages in two-legged playoffs. The victors of these playoffs will advance to the last 16.
Already qualifying for the last 16 are the eight group winners from the Europa League: West Ham United, Brighton & Hove Albion, Rangers, Atalanta, Liverpool, Villareal, Slavia Prague, and Bayer Leverkusen.
The first legs of these fixtures are scheduled for Feb. 15, followed by the return matches a week later on Feb. 22.
