Ferrari announced on Sunday that it would unveil its 2024 Formula 1 car on February 13, just over two weeks before the commencement of the upcoming season. The Italian team is aiming to bounce back after a challenging 2023, which saw them finish third in the Constructors' standings.

The team initially entered the 2023 campaign with hopes of challenging Red Bull for the World Championship after securing four race wins in 2022.

However, they faced various obstacles, including reliability concerns and strategic missteps. Despite these challenges, Ferrari managed to secure a victory at the Singapore Grand Prix with Carlos Sainz, the only race during the year that Red Bull failed to win.

Ferrari's championship drought extends back to 2008 when they clinched the Constructors' Championship for the 16th time.

Team Principal Frederic Vasseur confirmed the launch date, stating, “The launch will take place on the 13th of February, the day before Valentine's Day.”

However, he refrained from disclosing further details, including the name of the new car, stating, “You will see the rest on the 13th.”

Vasseur emphasised that the team is determined to adopt a more measured approach in setting expectations for the upcoming season.

When asked about the decision to launch the 2024 car one day earlier compared to the previous year, Vasseur explained that it was due to a tight schedule to prepare the cars for pre-season testing.

“We have the test a bit earlier, and it's quite a challenge to put everything together; we had no other option,” he said. “I think that some of our teams are doing it on the 14th. But it's quite challenging to be ready for Bahrain.”
