Manchester City’s star midfielder Bernardo Silvas has opened up about the possibility of moving to Saudi Pro League.
The Portuguese international is currently in Jeddah, Saudi Arabia, with City set to participate in the FIFA Club World Cup. They will face Urawa Reds in the semi-final today.
Ahead of the match, Silva played down the possibility of joining a club in Saudi Arabia.
"The Saudi League improvement has been massive, it’s because of the investment and from what we hear it’s not going to stop,” Silva said while speaking to reporters.
"Future in Saudi? For now, I’m focused on City, very happy playing European football, which in my opinion is the highest level."
He also shed light on playing football regularly with the festive season around the corner.
“Sometimes I feel tired. All of us, for some games because we play every three days. We don’t rest. We have no Christmas. We have no summer. But that’s the price you pay at a top club and fighting for all competitions…”
Silva was also confident about winning the Club World Cup.
"We are motivated to come here and play the #ClubWC. Almost all of us never won - and as a club we never won - and we want to do it. First we have to play Urawa Red Diamonds and we will prepare well to do it..."
City qualified for the tournament by virtue of clinching the UEFA Champions League and would face either Fluminense in the final if they beat the Japanese side.
