He was at it again for title-chasing Bayern against SV Darmstadt on Saturday, scoring their second goal of the afternoon to break Uwe Seeler's 60-year record for the most goals scored in a debut Bundesliga campaign.
Kane will have an eye on Robert Lewandowski's record for most goals scored in a Bundesliga season - that figure stands at 41 - but his primary focus remains to get Bayern back into the title mix amid the very real possibility of a first trophyless season in 12 years.
Leaders Bayer Leverkusen are yet to lose a game in any competition this season and top the Bundesliga table with a record of 21 wins and four draws from 25 games played - the gap to Bayern standing at seven points after Jamal Musiala (2), Serge Gnabry, and Mathys Tel added to Kane's strike to wrap up a convincing 5-2 win over Darmstadt.
Bayern could still have a chance at success in the Champions League, although domestic cup glory is no longer an option following a surprising DFB Pokal exit to third-tier FC Saarbrucken in November. However, they will have to overcome Arsenal in a two-legged quarter-final before facing the winner of the Manchester City versus Real Madrid clash in the semi-finals.
