Indian captain Rohit Sharma confirmed that veteran batter Virat Kohli is not featuring in the ICC Men's T20 World Cup 2024 warm-up fixture against Bangladesh at the Nassau County International Cricket Stadium in New York.

Rohit won the toss, and India opted to bat first. At the toss, Rohit mentioned that Kohli had arrived yesterday and, as a result, would miss the game.

Kohli did not travel to the USA with the first batch of Indian players on 25th May due to a delay in paperwork. He was seen spending time with his family and friends before departing for New York.

However, Kohli was seen working out on the ground before the start of the match. He was spotted sprinting across the field and doing light drills, much to the delight of the crowd, who were thrilled to see the superstar cricketer in New York.

Meanwhile, Bangladesh captain Najmul Hossain Shanto confirmed that Taskin Ahmed and Mustafizur Rahman will not participate in the game, as the two fast bowlers have been rested for the contest.
