Manchester United captain Bruno Fernandes hailed Manchester City’s head coach Pep Guardiola by calling him “the best in the world”.

Guardiola is recognised as one of the greatest managers of all time due to the unmatched success with FC Barcelona, Bayern Munich and now with Man City.

Man City, under Guardiola’s leadership, have won the last three Premier League titles and are on the course of claiming their fourth, which would make them the first side ever to win four successive league titles.

"We are talking about the best coach in the world, without a shadow of a doubt. In recent years, he has been the best coach in the world. He is probably the coach who changed the game of football the most," Fernandes told A Bola.

"Everyone wants to be Guardiola. Teams from the second to the first divisions all try to play like Man City because of their results and success.

"Receiving praise from a coach like Guardiola is spectacular because, as I said, we are talking about a coach that I really appreciate and who, for me, is the best coach in the world."

Fernandes then went on to talk about Liverpool boss Jurgen Klopp, who will step down as The Reds’ manager after nine legendary years with the Merseyside club.

"[Klopp] is one of the coaches I appreciate the most, for the intensity he brings to games and the passion he has for football.

"I think what he's done [deciding to leave Liverpool at the end of the season] is another demonstration of how much he loves football. He feels that, if he is not at his best, he is not giving his best to the game. I think like that too, in the same way as him.

"He is a coach who really influences my passion for football."

Remember, Bruno Fernandes joined Manchester United in 2020 from Sporting Lisbon and has represented The Red Devils in 223 matches so far. He also socred 72 goals and provided 63 assists during the process, which made him one of the most important players of the club.
