Manchester City's star Erling Haaland has disclosed the changes he would like to make in football.

The 23-year-old netted a club-record 52 goals for his team last season, as Pep Guardiola’s squad secured a historic Champions League, Premier League, and FA Cup treble.

However, this season, the Norwegian international has encountered a series of injuries but still managed to secure 18 goals in his 23 Premier League appearances.

It's reasonable to assume that as one of the most formidable strikers globally, Haaland possesses significant insights into football and potential improvements to the game.

Yet, during an interview with Manchester City's official podcast last month, the 23-year-old confessed that if he had the authority, he would implement goal-line technology across the entire pitch.

“The first is to introduce goal-line technology across the entire pitch so that you always have control over when the ball is out of play," he said.

This is unlikely to be adopted by football’s governing body, however, given the amount of time it would take to complete each check.

Elsewhere, as previously reported, Haaland claimed that the throw-in rules are too complicated, adding that provided a player has both hands on the ball they should be allowed to throw the ball however they like.

He also suggested that there should be limits in place on how far a player can travel up the pitch for a throw-in and how quickly it must be taken.

"What annoys me is the throw-ins," he explained. "If you throw like this or this or whatever, it doesn't matter. Just have two hands on the ball and throw the ball. I don't know the rules even, but if you throw down or up it doesn't matter!
