Former South African captain AB de Villiers slammed a fan who trolled Pakistan's white-ball skipper Babar Azam's English as the latter was interviewed by the Proteas legend.
De Villiers had a chat with Babar on his channel ‘AB de Villiers 360’. An Indian fan commented about the Pakistan captain's English
De Villiers was quick to respond back to unnecessary troll. “His English is infinitely better than my Urdu. And his batting is excellent, which is what matters more, I believe.”
Speaking ahead of the T20 World Cup, which begins later today, Babar said that his team are excited for the mega event.
"Yes, we are going for the World Cup. Our confidence is very high. We have a good team and senior players are stepping up, so this helps you a lot. We are very excited for the World Cup," said Babar.
Babar also said that he is only thinking about enjoying the game while talking about his future goals.
"Honestly, I am just thinking day by day. I am not thinking about at what age I am going to stop playing. Right now, I am just enjoying my game and love playing cricket,” the Pakistan captain said.
Remember, Babar has recently crossed the 4,000 run-mark in T20I cricket and became only the second batter to achieve the milestone after India's Virat Kohli.
Babar will now lead the Men in Green in their first T20 World Cup match on June 6 against the co-hosts USA.
Pakistan are in Group A of the event, alongside India, Ireland, Canada and USA.
