Arsenal is reportedly one of several top teams closely monitoring winger Federico Chiesa who might be available in the January transfer window as Juventus need to generate funds, making Liverpool boss Jurgen Klopp attentive to the situation.
Chiesa has been a notable figure in European football since showcasing his goal-scoring abilities at Fiorentina. The Italian international is currently in his fourth season with Juventus and is set for his most prolific Serie A goal-scoring season.
However, a number of Premier League (PL) clubs are showing keen interest, with Arsenal, Liverpool, Tottenham, and Newcastle United all said to be keeping an eye on the winger, as reported by Tuttojuve.
Juventus are in urgent need of a midfield overhaul, particularly with Nicolo Fagioli serving a seven-month ban and Paul Pogba facing a longer suspension.
Chiesa has played 109 matches for The Old Day so far where he netted 27 goals and provided assists.
To address their financial needs, Juventus may consider selling Chiesa, and it's suggested they could entertain bids, particularly a £69 million offer from Arsenal or any other interested party.
If Arsenal decides to pursue Chiesa in January, they can expect tough competition, especially from Liverpool. Reports from Italy indicate that Klopp is a great admirer of the player and might attempt to lure him to Anfield.
Liverpool go top of the league after a comfortable 2-0 win over Burnley courtesy of goals from Darwin Nunez and Diogo Jota.
The Reds are first with 42 points from 19 matches as they have only lost one match in their campaign so far.
On the other hand, Arsenal will play in-form West Ham United, which hammered Manchester United during the weekend, and with a win over David Moyes’ men, the Gunners would become table-toppers once again.
