Western Australia players were split across several indirect flights from Perth to Sydney for the Marsh Cup final against New South Wales after all the direct flights were sold out with Taylor Swift fans heading to the Eras Tour in the city.

The revelation was made by Andrew Tye, who is part of the Western Australia. He jokingly suggested Taylor that it would have been great if she had sent her private jet to take the side from Perth to Sydney.

As per details, one batch reached via a stopover in Canberra while the other through Melbourne.

"It would have been nice if Taylor Swift had sent a private jet over for us, seeing as she's cost us a direct flight, but that's ok," he said.

It must be noted that Taylor Swift's sold-out concerts in Sydney led to a huge influx of her fans into Sydney over the weekend, causing travel chaos particularly impacting Western Australia's preparations for the upcoming Marsh Cup final.

With flights snatched up by passionate fans of the singer, famously known as Swifties, the WA squad found navigating a logistical dilemma for the journey to Sydney for the clash against New South Wales on Sunday, February 25.

Taylor Swift's Australia tour started with her performing in Melbourne Cricket Ground (MCG) on February 16, 17 and 18. The Sydney have two shows remaining on February 25 and 26 with her already performing on February 23 and 24.
