Former Pakistan captains Wasim Akram and Mohammad Hafeez have shed light on what players usually do during the rain break while at the stadium.

Pakistan Super League (PSL) season nine saw two games getting washed out at the Pindi Cricket Stadium on Saturday.

The first match was between Peshawar Zalmi and Lahore Qalandars while the second game was between home team Islamabad United and Quetta Gladiators.

While talking to the local sports channel, Sultan of Swing said that there is a difference between what it used to be in his playing days and now.

"I am not aware of the mindset now but phones are not allowed inside the dressing room and players usually talk during the break," he said.

"In my playing days, we used to play cards or some other games," he added.

Meanwhile, Hafeez shared different aspects of why phones are being taken before the start of the game even when it is raining from the start of the match.

"The security manager instructs to hand over phones so do Team manager forces it. I think it is good for the game and also for the players to stay away from the hurdles of Anti-Corruption.

"There is a bit of frustration [during rain] because as a player, you always want to have a game. It is tough when the break is longer but if it is short, mostly they talk with each other and have a cup of coffee or tea," he added.

It must be noted that Karachi Kings are all set to take on Multan Sultans in the 19th match of the ongoing PSL season 9 at the National Bank Cricket Arena on Sunday.

Karachi witnessed heavy rains on Friday which affected the stadium as the rainwater surrounded the gates.

The Sindh government deployed a rain emergency to make sure that the remaining PSL matches are held without any problems. There were predictions of heavy rain on Saturday as well but the majority of the city didn’t witness any.

Furthermore, as per the BBC weather forecast, it will be a clear and sunny day as the sun will be visible all day at an average temperature of 18℃ throughout the day.

There is a 0% chance of rain on Sunday which means Karachi will be able to take on Multan without any potential interruptions.
