Pakistan cricketers Babar Azam and Shaheen Afridi are on the brink of achieving significant milestones as the team prepares to face South Africa in the first T20I match in Durban.

Babar is just 39 runs away from becoming the all-time leading run-scorer in T20Is.

Currently in second place with 4,192 runs in 126 matches, the 30-year-old is set to surpass India's Rohit Sharma, who holds the top spot with 4,231 runs in 159 matches.

Notably, Rohit recently announced his retirement from the shorter format after the 2024 T20 World Cup, where he led India to victory over the Proteas.

Haris Rauf leads the wickets chart for Pakistan with 110 wickets in 77 matches, while Shadab Khan follows with 107 wickets in 104 matches.

If Shaheen takes three wickets, he will not only join the 100-wicket club but also become the 19th bowler overall and the eighth pacer to achieve this feat.
