The Pakistan Football Federation (PFF) on Sunday announced the 24-man squad that will take on Jordan during the ongoing FIFA World Cup 2026 Qualifiers on March 21 and 26.

Pakistan will host Jordan at the Jinnah Stadium in Islamabad on March 21 and will look to take a lead before they travel all the way to Amman International Stadium to play the away leg.

The 24-man squad, led by head coach Stephen Constantine, will take on the visitors.

The return of Pakistan’s captain and leader at the back, Easah Suliman, is a great booster for the struggling Pakistani side that conceded six goals to Tajikistan in their last home without him.

On the other hand, star attacker Otis Khan is set to miss the clash as the forward is still recovering from an injury.

Goalkeepers: Yousuf Butt, Saqib Hanif, Hassan Ali, Abdul Basit

Defenders: Easah Suliman, Abdullah Iqbal, Mamoon Musa, Haseeb Khan, M Saddam, M Sohail, Omer Rao, Mohammad Fazal, Mohammad Adeel

Midfielders: Rahis Nabi, Harun Hamid, Alamgir Ghazi, Rajab Ali, Ali Uzair, Shayek Dost, Abdul Samad

Forwards: FareedUllah, Waleed Khan, Imran Kayani, Adeel Younis

Pakistan are at the bottom of the points table in Group G after losing their first two matches against Saudi Arabia and Tajikistan and will look to make a strong comeback to stay alive in the race.

Earlier, the head coach held a presser where he admitted that Pakistan didn't have enough quality to qualify for the World Cup as a domestic league is required to find local talent.

"Pakistan won't qualify for the next FIFA World Cup. We won't find talent if there is no proper domestic league,” he said while speaking to the media persons on Saturday in Lahore during the ongoing training camp of the Pakistan football team.

"We were supposed to have a camp in January but that didn't materialise. There were also no friendlies. Unfortunately, we will face one of the best teams in Asia (Jordan) with very little preparation.

"Jordan are a tough team but we will fight and won't lay down for anybody."
