JEDDAH: Pakistan’s Muhammad Hassan Usmani on Thursday, outclassed Philippines’ Marcus Lorenzo Go and stormed into the ATP Asian Under-14 singles final.

Usmani, who displayed stellar performance throughout the tournament, beat Lorenzo Go 6-0, 6-1 in a one-sided semi-final.

He will now face top seed Suleyman Hudayberdiyev of Turkmenistan in the singles final.

Meanwhile, in the doubles category, the pair of Usmani and Hudayberdiyev delivered dominant performances, the highlight of which was their 7-5, 6-2 victory in the semi-final over Lorenzo Go and Iraq’s Fahad Saif.

The duo will now take on Saudi Arabia’s Anas Alzahrany and Souhail El-Taji El-Farouki in the double final.

For the unversed, Usmani and Hudayberdiyev have faced each other in Ashgabat Open Tennis Tournament final, held last month.

In the high-stakes clash, Usmani dominated Hudayberdiyev with a commanding 6-1, 6-0 victory, dropping only one game.

Notably, Usmani entered the Ashgabat Open on a wildcard and delivered a stellar performance throughout the competition.

He began his campaign by upsetting the eighth seed Kerimgeldi Velibegov in the pre-quarterfinal, followed by a victory over the fourth seed Aly Geldyev in the quarterfinal.
