With plans to kickstart a comprehensive T10 League, the Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB) is contemplating staging six exhibition matches in Rawalpindi next month, featuring both men's and women's teams.

As per local media, to infuse an international touch, efforts are underway to collaborate with the English County club Middlesex for this potential venture.

The PCB's fascination with T10 has been ongoing. A recent statement from Zaka Ashraf, head of the PCB Management Committee, hinted at his ambition to see the league established during his tenure. Rawalpindi has been identified as the potential host city.

Zaka Ashraf is eager to make an impact on Pakistani cricket through a successful T10 League.

The objective is to schedule these matches following the national team's return from New Zealand, ensuring optimal player availability and fan involvement. This test phase will also function as a barometer of public interest in T10 cricket within Pakistan. The reception these matches garner will significantly sway future decisions about the league.

Recently Indian media reported that BCCI is also considering organising a T10 league. They are likely to collaborate with Saudi investors for this project.

Last week, Geo News reported that PCB is eyeing to collaborate with Cricket Australia to stage a T10 league in the future.

Zaka Ashraf will visit Australia where he will discuss the proposal with Cricket Australia officials. Both boards will explore possibilities of jointly conducting the T10 league in the future. Ashraf will depart for Australia soon.

Cricket Australia has invited Ashraf to witness the Boxing Day Test in Melbourne, starting from December 26.
