Paris Saint-Germain are eyeing a shocking move for troubled Manchester United star, Marcus Rashford, who is not just having a hard time on the pitch, but also having problems outside of it, reported iNews on Wednesday.
Rashford has only scored four goals in 26 matches across competitions and with his ongoing off-the-field issues, questions are arising within the club and PSG might swoop in to make a move for the 26-year-old.
PSG have been a long admirer of Rashford, they tried to bring the forward to the French capital last year but he ended up renewing his contract with the 20-time Premier League champions.
The French powerhouses are once again growing their interest in the 26-year-old as his position at the Manchester club is not getting better.
PSG’s star player Kylian Mbappe’s future remains uncertain at this point as the 2018 World Cup still hasn’t renewed his contract, which expires in June, with the club and may be on his way to Real Madrid.
Luis Enrique’s side doesn’t want to be without a franchise player should Mbappe leave, and they see Rashford as the one who can take the place of the Frenchman.
Earlier, it was reported that Man Utd coaching staff is reportedly worried about Rashford’s “self-destructive” lifestyle after the 26-year-old reported sick for training while being at a nightclub in Belfast.
TalkSport claimed that the coaching staff at United are heavily concerned with Rashford’s ongoing form as he has only scored four goals in 26 matches across competitions this season.
It is further reported that people close to the forward believe that he is in a “complete self-destruct mode” with concerns that some of Rashford’s inner circle have a strong hold on him.
On the other hand, The Sun reported that Rashford collapsed into his bed at 3 am on Friday morning, after calling in sick for training after an all-day drinking session.
The report further added that a waitress, who was invited by Rashford, claimed that the 26-year-old drunkenness got to the point he dropped a bundle of cash in his five-star hotel room.
