The Indian Premier League (IPL) 2024 provided yet another breathtaking encounter where Sunrisers Hyderabad (SRH) beat Punjab Kings (PBKS) by two runs after a late drama at the Maharaja Yadavindra Singh International Cricket Stadium on Tuesday.

The IPL, known for its unpredictability and entertainment, is in full swing where close and high-scoring encounters between teams are taking place but apart from that, the race for most runs and wickets is also getting interesting with every match played.

With 23 matches already played this season, the IPL continues to provide fans the entertainment it promises as we have witnssed record-breaking matches like Sunrisers Hyderabad vs Mumbai Indians, where the highest total in an IPL innings was scored by the former and individual displays like Romario Shephard going berserk against Delhi Capitals’ Anrich Nortje, making him enter the unwanted record list.

At the batting charts, Royal Challengers Bengaluru's (RCB) star batter Virat Kohli, which comes as no surprise, is at the top in the race for the Orange Cap with 316 runs to his name in five innings while Sunrisers Hyderabad's (SRH) Heinrich Klassen has hit 17 sixes in four matches.

In the bowling charts, Chennai Super Kings’ Mustafizur Rahman stays on the top with nine scalps to his name while Rajasthan Royals’ Yuzvendra Chahal is second. However, names like Pat Cummins, Jasprit Bumrah, Mitchell Starc and others are nowhere to be seen.
