Australian tennis star Alex de Minaur and United Kingdom’s Katie Boulter form one of the most famous tennis couples and the two are currently competing in the Australian Open 2024.
De Minaur, who has been in red-hot form, defeated Milos Raonic as he got a walkover after three sets while Boulter overcame China’s Yue Yuan 7-5, 7-6(1) in straight sets to make way for the second round.
De Minaur and Boulter’s relationship became public in March 2022 and the two have been together since then. However, they spend most of their time away from one another as the Aussie is always on ATP while the Brit is on the WTA tour.
The two teamed up to play a mixed double at Wimbledon 2023, where they won their first match and lost the other.
Although they have not played together since their last outing in London, the likelihood of the two making their Olympics 2024 debut to fight for their respective nations is well and alive.
De Minaur made his way into the top 10 rankings for the first time in his career, but Boulter’s career-high ranking is 50, which she reached in September 2023.
She recorded her first win at Grand Slams in 2018 after beating Veronica Cepede Royg at Wimbledon and has been moving positively since then.
The 27-year-old reached the third round in her last three Grand Slams and also clinched the WTA Title at the Canberra International in 2023.
However, the biggest victory of her career came at the United Cup 2023 when she took down the world no. 5 Jessica Pegula in three sets.
