Former New Zealand all-rounder and 2015 ICC Men's Cricket World Cup finalist Corey Anderson has been selected for the USA's squad for the T20 World Cup 2024.

Under the captaincy of 31-year-old wicket-keeper batter Monank Patel, the USA's squad comprises both established names and emerging talents from the recent T20I series against Canada, which they triumphed in with a 4-0 scoreline.

In a significant boost to the team's bowling resources, pace sensation Ali Khan has regained fitness for the tournament, recovering from a hamstring injury that sidelined him during the Canada series.

The 33-year-old, renowned for his exploits in various domestic leagues worldwide, is also prominently featured in the promotional video for the official T20 World Cup anthem.

The squad also includes other notable figures such as Saurabh Netravalkar, the most experienced player in the USA team, Aaron Jones, and opening batsman Steven Taylor, who holds the record for the highest run tally in international cricket for the USA.

Off-spinner Milind Kumar, who debuted in the recent series, has also earned his place in the squad.

All teams are allowed to make changes to their squad until 25 May, after which any alteration will require approval from ICC's Event Technical Committee.

It is worth mentioning that 20 qualifying teams are divided into four groups of five, from which the top two teams of every group will make their way to the Super 8 round. In that stage, qualifying teams will once again be divided into two groups of four, from which the top two teams will make their way to the semi-final and then the winners will play the final on June 29.
