The warm-up match between the United States (USA) and Bangladesh in the T20 World Cup 2024 was cancelled At Grand Prairie Stadium on Tuesday due to a ongoing tornado in Dallas.

The weather condition in the US state Texas wasn’t very good on Tuesday and multiple rain spells and thunderstorms made things worse. 

The giant screen at the stadium was destroyed, which was set up at the venue for replays and match-related graphics.

Forecasters have predicted that the ongoing storms could be shifted towards the East Coast and the tornados could hit cities between the states of North Carolina and Maryland. The regions are located between New York and Florida where multiple T20 World Cup matches are scheduled.

Texas will hold two more warm-up matches, Nepal vs the US and the Netherlands vs Canada on Thursday and Friday respectively.

The T20 World Cup 2024 begins on June 1 in the United States and West Indies. 

55 games will be played across nine different venues in the West Indies and the United States in the World Cup.

The venues in West Indies are Kensington Oval, Barbados; Brian Lara Cricket Academy, Trinidad; Providence Stadium, Guyana; Sir Vivian Richards Stadium, Antigua; Darren Sammy Cricket Ground, St Lucia; Arnos Vale Stadium, St Vincent.

Meanwhile, three venues will hold the matches in the United States — Eisenhower Park, New York; Lauderhill, Florida; and Grand Prairie, Texas.

Group B: England, Australia, Namibia, Scotland, Oman

Group C: New Zealand, West Indies, Afghanistan, Uganda, Papua New Guinea

Group D: South Africa, Sri Lanka, Bangladesh, Netherlands, Nepal
