LAHORE: The Pakistan Strike Force training camp, under the coaching of former all-rounder Abdul Razzaq, commenced today at the National Cricket Academy (NCA) in Lahore.

This initiative aims to enhance the hard-hitting and modern-day batting skills of both domestic and international players.

The camp will run from January 14 to 30 at the NCA in Lahore, followed by a second leg at the Multan Cricket Stadium from February 1 to 28.

The Strike Force programme is designed to continue throughout the year, with elite and emerging players periodically invited to participate.

Razzaq is supported by former Test cricketer Humayun Farhat and ex-first-class player Kamran Sajid.

The experienced coaching team will mentor 25 players on performing under pressure, building core strength, and balancing aggression with restraint in high-stakes cricket.

Recognizing the rigorous demands of modern cricket, players will undergo close monitoring and tailored training to prepare for upcoming challenges.

With Pakistan’s packed cricketing calendar—including the ICC Champions Trophy 2025, two ICC T20 World Cups, an ICC Cricket World Cup, and several bilateral white-ball series through 2028—the camp is poised to bolster the batting bench strength for both the national and domestic teams.

Seven Pakistan-capped players—Haider Ali, Jahandad Khan, Khushdil Shah, Mohammad Abbas Afridi, Mubasir Khan, Muhammad Irfan Khan, and Usman Khan—are participating in this edition of the Strike Force camp.
