The Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB) on Friday announced the 15-man squad of Pakistan for the upcoming ACC U19 Asia Cup 2023 which is scheduled to be played in the United Arab Emirates (UAE) this month.
Former pacer Sohail Tanvir, who has been appointed as the head of the junior selection committee, finalised the squad alongside his team that will compete in the U19 Asian event.
Saad Baig, who was the captain in the home series against Sri Lanka and away series against Bangladesh, will lead the team in the Asian event.
The Green Shirts are in Group A alongside arch-rivals India U19, Afghanistan U19 and Nepal U19.
They are scheduled to begin their campaign by taking on Nepal on December 8, after which the Men in Green will play their remaining matches against India and Afghanistan on December 10 and 12, respectively.
Legendary batter Mohammad Yousuf, who was named the U19 head coach in November, will be taking on his first assignment.
It must be noted that the PCB held a training camp at the Hanif Mohammad High Performance Centre in Karachi from November 24 where many players showcased their abilities to ensure selection in the squad.
