Gujarat Titans climbed the IPL 2024 points table after defeating Punjab by three wickets on Sunday at the Maharaja Yadavindra Singh International Cricket Stadium in Mullanpur, Chandigarh.
Following their victory, Shubman Gill and his team ascended to sixth place on the table with eight points. Meanwhile, the Kings suffered another defeat, remaining rooted in the bottom half of the standings.
Kolkata Knight Riders narrowly defeated the Royal Challengers Bengaluru by one run on the final ball at Eden Gardens to secure their fifth victory from seven matches. This win elevates KKR to the second position in the table, surpassing SRH based on net run rate.
At the top of the table, Rajasthan Royals lead with 12 points from eight matches.
Royal Challengers Bengaluru (RCB) find themselves at the bottom with just two points from eight games.
IPL 2024 Points Table
RR, KKR, SRH, and CSK are the four teams currently occupying the top four positions. The top four teams will advance to the IPL 2024 playoffs. The top two teams will face off in the first Qualifier, with the victor progressing directly to the final.
The Eliminator will be contested between the teams placed third and fourth in the IPL 2024 standings. The winner of the Eliminator will then compete against the losing team from Qualifier 1. The victor of Qualifier 2 will proceed to the final, which is scheduled for 26th May.
Rajasthan will host Mumbai Indians at the Sawai Mansingh Indoor Stadium in Jaipur on Monday in the 38th match of the competition.
