The Netherlands defeated Nepal by six wickets in match No.7 of the 2024 T20 World Cup on Tuesday at the Grand Prairie Stadium in Dallas.

The Dutchmen chased 107-run target in the 19th over on the back of Max O'Dowd's unbeaten 54 off 48 balls.

Scott Edwards' and his men were pushed to put an effort in the chase by the Nepalese bowlers but O'Dowd was firm from the one end.

Vikramjit Singh was the other notable batter, scoring 22 runs off 28 balls.

Sompal Kami, Abinash Bohara and Dipendra Singh Airee took a wicket each for Nepal.

Earlier, Pacer Logan van Beek starred with three wickets while skipper Tim Pringle also took as many as Nepal were restricted on 106 after being put into bat first.

Nepal didn't have a good start to the innings wickets Pringle dismissing wicketkeeper Aasif Sheikh. Kushal Bhurtel was dismissed for 7 runs off 10 balls, falling to an lbw by van Beek

Anil Sah contributed 11 runs from 12 balls, succumbing to a catch by van Beek on the bowling of Pringle.

Skipper Rohit Paudel, made a significant effort with 35 runs from 37 balls but was eventually removed by Pringle. Gulsan Jha contributed at the backend with 14 rums while Karan KC scored a quick 17 runs from 12 balls, including two sixes.

Pringle bowled figures of 3/20 in his four-over spell while Van Beek finished with 3/18. Paul van Meekeren contributed effectively with his 4 overs, taking 2 wickets for 19 runs while Bas de Leede managed to take 2 wickets for 22 runs.
