Pakistan captain Babar Azam met Indian batting legend Sunil Gavaskar at London airport before flying to the USA for the T20 World Cup 2024.
Gavaskar was seen engaging in a warm conversation with Babar as the Men in Green arrived at the airport to depart for Dallas.
The esteemed Indian cricketer and Babar were observed conversing in a lounge at the Queen's Terminal in London.
The Pakistan Cricket Board shared a video on Saturday of the Pakistan cricket team departing from London and arriving in Dallas. Babar was delighted to meet Gavaskar, who has frequently praised the Pakistan batting star.
Remember, Pakistan reached Dallas for their first T20 World Cup clash against the USA on June 6. They were in England for a four-match series which they lost 2-0.
Pakistan will not play warm-up matches in the lead-up to the T20 World Cup. The Asian giants have played as many as 11 T20Is in the lead-up to the World Cup - against New Zealand at home and against Ireland and England away from home.
